Sharon Speedway

R.I.P. David Rodgers

Sharon Speedway was struck with another tragedy this week as wrecker operator, David Rodgers, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 4 following surgery at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.  Rodgers, 55 of Howland, Ohio, was an avid race fan and enjoyed the races at Sharon Speedway.  David’s brother Bud provides the towing service at Sharon Speedway.

Please keep the Rodgers Family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.   Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 8 at Roberts-Clark Chapel, where friends will be received 4 to 7 p.m. Monday.  Rodgers’ obituary is available online at http://www.tribtoday.com/page/content.detail/id/552812/David-T--Rodgers-1955-2011.html?nav=5022

Rodgers joins current and former Sharon racers Gary Knollinger, Chuck Cozad, Tony Diano, and Allan Hudzik, who have all passed away since Christmas Day.
