February 28, 2011

(Hartford, OH)…With the 2011 racing season now only one month away, Sharon Speedway is pleased to add two additional divisional sponsors for the upcoming 2011 racing season.  The new year will mark the 82nd anniversary season at the famed, historic oval in Hartford, Ohio that will feature weekly Saturday night racing and a bi-weekly Friday night card for the second straight year.

Summit Racing Equipment will present the second season of the two-barrel Econo Mod division, which will compete on the Friday night program.  Summit Racing Equipment started from humble beginnings and grew into the world's largest mail order automotive performance equipment company.  Headquartered in Tallmadge, Ohio, the company has two other retail store and distribution centers in Sparks, NV and McDonough, GA.  For more information on Summit, check out their website at www.summitracing.com.

Ti22 Performance will be the divisional sponsor of the PA/OH Outlaw Sprint Car Warrior division.  The new class was formed over the winter to provide a competitive playing field for 305 Sprint Cars and the former Limited/Green Flag Sprint division that competed at Sharon over the past seven seasons.  The division will now headline Friday’s racing action.

Located in Zelienople, Pa., Ti22 is the leading manufacturer of high-performance titanium race parts. Focused on the Sprint car and Motorsports industry, Ti22 offers drivers a superior line of products that outlast and out perform the competition. Since entering the market, Ti22 has significantly raised the bar by providing stronger, lighter titanium parts and custom manufacturing solutions to racecar teams in the United States and around the world.

Ti22 also recently purchased the assets of JEI Performance and developed a new Sprint Car chassis called the GF1 through the team of Barry Jackson and George Fisher.  The GF1 won in its debut by Brian Ellenberger at Mercer Raceway Park last September.  For more information on Ti22, check out their website at www.ti22performance.com.

“I’m pleased to welcome on Summit and Ti22 as new marketing partners, stated second year GM Dave Willoughby.  “To be able to attract nationally-known companies like these is a testament to Sharon Speedway.  We look forward to promoting these great companies all season long during our exciting 2011 schedule.
