SUNDAY’S RAIN DATE FOR “STEEL VALLEY THUNDER AT SHARON CANCELLED DUE TO WET GROUNDS

(Hartford, OH)…Overnight rains and heavy rains throughout much of Saturday on top of already extremely saturated grounds have forced Sharon Speedway to cancel Sunday’s rain date from Saturday’s already rained out “Steel Valley Thunder.
“I really hated to pull the plug on Sunday, expressed second year GM Dave Willoughby. “With everyone raining out Saturday and no one racing on Sunday and with a dry forecast, we really wanted to be able to utilize our Sunday rain date, but there’s no way we could have parked anyone. Hopefully next weekend will be better
Next weekend will be another doubleheader of racing with “Friday Night Thunder on April 22 at 7:30 p.m. and then “Steel Valley Thunder on Saturday, April 23 featuring Governor Insurance Agency Big-Block Modifieds, Barris Supply FASTRAK Late Models, Ainsley 500 Heating & Cooling E-Mods, Gibson Agency Stock Cars, and the Presidential Lawn Care Mini Stocks at 7 p.m. There will be no rain date of next Sunday due to Easter.
Sharon Speedway is owned by the Blaney, Weller, and Kirila Families and is a 3/8-mile dirt track located on Custer-Orangeville Road in Hartford, Ohio near the intersection of Routes 7 & 305.
