WEDNESDAY’S PRACTICE POSTPONED TO AUGUST 3 DUE TO DAMAGE TO TRANSPONDER LOOP

(Hartford, OH)…Sharon Speedway has been forced to postpone this Wednesday’s (July 27) scheduled open practice session to the following Wednesday, August 3 following damage to the track’s transponder loop from Sunday’s truck and tractor pull.
The delivery date of the part isn’t until later this week and with the track dug up, it was necessary to postpone the practice. Next Wednesday’s practice will be from 5 p.m. until dark. Pit passes are $20. The grandstands are free. Gates open at 4 p.m.
Sharon will try again next this weekend for another doubleheader. Friday (July 29) will feature the 358 Modifieds, Summit Racing Equipment Econo Mods, Joe’s Radiator/Uni-Tech Frame Straightening Mod Lites, Micro Sprints, Uni-Tech Frame Straightening/Joe’s Radiator Sportsman Dwarf Cars, and the Mini Late Models. Race time is 7:30 p.m.
Then on Saturday (July 30) it’s “Steel Valley Thunder� presented by the Globe Restaurant at Truck World featuring the Governor Insurance Agency Big-Block Modifieds, Barris Supply FASTRAK Late Models, Ainsley 500 Heating & Cooling E-Mods, Gibson Insurance Agency Stock Cars, and the Presidential Lawn Care Mini Stocks. Race time is 7 p.m. The rain date is Sunday at 5:30 p.m.
