(Hartford, OH)…For the second consecutive week, rain showers have forced Sharon Speedway to cancel racing action scheduled for Saturday night. Sharon will work with the United Late Model Series to find a possible make-up date. Sharon will hold an open practice this Wednesday, April 25. Pits open at 4 with practice 5 until dark.
“We really wanted to get this show in, stated third year GM Dave Willoughby. “Originally the rain was supposed to end in the morning, but with it still raining at 1 p.m., temps in the low 40s, and looking like rain for at least two more hours we had no choice but to pull the plug. We’ll try to come up with a rescheduled date for the ULMS.
It’ll be back to “Steel Valley Thunder next Saturday, April 28 with the Governor Insurance Agency DIRTcar Big-Block Modifieds, Barris Supply FASTRAK Late Models, Summit Racing Equipment E-Mods, Gibson Insurance Agency Stock Cars, HTMA/Precise Racing Products Econo Mods, and the Deforest Used Parts Mini Stocks. It’s RAD Racing Poster Night and Youth Sports & Scout Night. Gates open at 5 p.m. with racing at 7.
Sharon Speedway is owned by the Blaney, Weller, and Kirila Families and is a 3/8-mile dirt track located on Custer-Orangeville Road in Hartford, Ohio near the intersection of Routes 7 & 305.
