Rain washes out July 28 program; Big night on tap for August 4

(Hartford, OH)…Heavy rains from Friday coupled with showers developing and more forecasted throughout the afternoon and early evening have forced Sharon Speedway to cancel racing action scheduled for Saturday night. It marked the first rainout after eight straight completed events.

This will setup a big night next Saturday, August 4 for the “Bill Kirila Memorial� Fan Appreciation Night with just $8 adult admission! The Governor Insurance DIRTcar Big-Block Modifieds will not only run their $1,500 to-win May 27 make-up feature, but it will also be leg #2 of the two-night challenge with Lernerville Speedway. The highest point getter will receive a $1,000 plus four pit passes for the “World Finals� to be held in at The Dirt Track at Charlotte November 1-3! One driver could walk away with nearly $4,000 of cash and value!

The Barris Supply FASTRAK Late Models, Summit Racing Equipment E-Mods, Gibson Insurance Agency Stock Cars, HTMA/Precise Racing Products Econo Mods, and the Deforest Used Parts Mini Stocks will also be on the card. Race time is 7 PM.

Sharon Speedway is owned by the Blaney, Weller, and Kirila Families and is a 3/8-mile dirt track located on Custer-Orangeville Road in Hartford, Ohio near the intersection of Routes 7 & 305.
