September 21, 2013 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Hartford, OH)…Sharon Speedway was forced to cancel racing action scheduled for Saturday night (September 21) due to wet weather. Rain started in the morning and with moderated to heavy rain predicted through most of the afternoon, the decision was made to cancel the “Steel Valley Thunder program. After a midseason stretch of several rainouts, Sharon was blessed with good weather for the past seven events until this rainout.
With the rainout, that means just one “Steel Valley Thunder point night remains, which will take place next Saturday, September 28 featuring the Governor Insurance Agency DIRTcar Big-Block Modifieds, Barris Supply RUSH Late Models, Summit Racing Equipment Modifieds, Gibson Insurance Agency Stock Cars, HTMA/Precise Racing Products Econo Mods, and the Deforest Used Parts Mini Stocks. Gates open at 5 p.m. with racing at 7.
Sharon Speedway is owned by the Blaney, Weller, and Kirila Families and is a 3/8-mile dirt track located on Custer-Orangeville Road in Hartford, Ohio near the intersection of Routes 7 & 305.
