Continued wet & cold weather forces cancellation of 1st Menards "Super Series" event Saturday, April 28

(Hartford, OH)…Mother Nature scored a clean sweep of racing activities scheduled for the month of April at Sharon Speedway; first washing out both open practices then postponing the April 20 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event to July 2, and now forcing the cancellation of tonight's first Menards "Super Series" event due to rain and unseasonably cold temperatures. Those with tickets for the April 28 event can use them at any upcoming Menards “Super Series� events with the exception of the “Lou Blaney Memorial�
The 89th anniversary season opener will now take place next Saturday (May 5) for the first of three appearances by Tony Stewart’s Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions presented by Mobil One. The Summit Racing Equipment Econo Mods are also part of the program. Reserved and advanced tickets are on sale through our website by clicking on the "Buy Tickets" at the top of the home page.
The first Menards "Super Series" event will now take place on Saturday, May 12 for the first ever appearance by the FAST "410" Sprint Car Series. It will also be the season debut for the Gibson Insurance Agency Stock Cars and HTMA/Precise Racing Products RUSH Sportsman Modifieds. The Econo Mods will also return.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 19 for the annual FREE "Fan Appreciation Night" with free grandstand admission for everyone. This will now be the opener for the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply Big-Block Modifieds. The Stock Cars, RUSH Sportsman Modifieds, and Econo Mods will also be on the card.
