Saturday's (6/15) portion of "Steel Valley Pro Stock Nationals" postponed to September 7 due to pending rain

(Hartford, OH)…After qualifying was completed on Friday night for the Penn-Ohio Pro Stock Championship Series and Econo Mods, Sharon Speedway has made the decision to postpone night two of the "Steel Valley Pro Stock Nationals" to Saturday, September 7 due to the high likelihood of rain later this afternoon and evening on top of already saturated grounds.  It marked the fifth rain out of the season and third in the last four weeks. 

Chris Schneider set a new track record in qualifying with a 17.577 to earn $500 from Zimmer's Service Center against the 62-car field. Dwayne Clay set fast time overall against the 27-car field in the Summit Racing Equipment Econo Mods with a 17.970.   The heat race lineups for both classes are set.  New cars will be permitted to tag the heat races.  The Penn-Ohio Stocks will be racing for $10,000 to-win and the Econo Mods $2,000 on that night. 

Coming up on Tuesday (June 18) is Ohio Speedweek for the Ollie's Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Cars in a $5,000 to-win event along with the RUSH Sprint Cars.
