(Hartford, OH)…After trying to intervene with light showers on the first two completed Saturday night events at Sharon Speedway, Mother Nature took her first checkered flag of the 92nd anniversary season on Saturday (May 8). Overnight and morning showers coupled with already saturated grounds along with temperatures now not expected to get out of the 40s forced the cancellation.
An identical "Super Series" show will be coming up next Saturday night (May 15) as the "410" Sprint Cars return for $3,000 to-win along with the Gibson Insurance Agency Pro Stocks, HTMA/Precise Racing Products RUSH Sportsman Modifieds, and the Whelen Econo Mods. Pits open at 4 p.m. and grandstands at 5. Sprint Car group qualifying will take place at 6:30 p.m. with heat races at 7.
Don't forget, the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Sprint Car Series will make their return to Sharon on May 22 for the first time since 2007 competing for $10,000 to-win and will be joined by the Terry Bowser Excavating RUSH Sprint Cars in their first appearance of the season. Advance tickets are on sale through the World of Outlaws at https://mpv.tickets.com/?orgid=52711&agency=WRG_SNG_MPV&pid=8894471#/event/8894471
