Impending thunderstorms during race time forces Sharon to cancel Saturday's (June 19) program

(Hartford, OH)…Sharon Speedway has made the decision to cancel racing action scheduled for tonight (June 19) due to the high probability (80-90%) of thunderstorms from late afternoon throughout the evening. It marked the third cancellation of the 92nd anniversary season.
Coming up next Saturday (June 26), the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply "410" Sprint Cars will return for $3,000 to-win. Will there be a sixth different winner in six races this year!? Also on the "Super Series" card will be the Terry Bowser Excavating RUSH Sprint Cars, HTMA/Precise Racing Products RUSH Sportsman Modifieds, and Whelen Econo Mods. Pits open at 4 p.m. with general admission tickets going on sale at 5 p.m. "410" Sprint group qualifying will get underway at 6:30 p.m. Race time is 7 p.m.
Sharon Speedway is owned by the Blaney, Weller, and Kirila Families and is a 3/8-mile dirt track located on Custer-Orangeville Road in Hartford, Ohio near the intersection of Routes 7 & 305.
