SEVERE WEATHER CANCELS MAY 21 VISIT BY WORLD OF OUTLAWS SPRINT CARS AT SHARON; "GREATEST SHOW ON DIRT" TO RETURN SEPTEMBER 24

(Hartford, OH)…In the interest of safety for fans and teams, Saturday’s World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series event at Sharon Speedway was cancelled due to severe weather moving towards the eastern Ohio area. Series and track officials worked closely with Precision Weather Service and meteorologist Wayne Mahar to make the call. Severe weather did hit the Hartford, Ohio oval around 7:30 p.m. knocking out power at the facility. It marked the fourth weather cancellation in the first five weeks of action.
All tickets purchased in advance to Saturday’s show will automatically roll over to be used for the next World of Outlaws race at Sharon on Saturday, September 24. Any pit passes purchased at the track can be exchanged at the gate on September 24, or can be mailed to the World Racing Group office at 7575 West Winds Blvd NW Suite D, Concord, NC 20287 for a refund. If you have any further questions, email tickets@dirtcar.com for more information.
Coming up next weekend (May 27-28) will be a doubleheader for the World of Outlaws CASE Construction Late Models featuring a complete show each night with Friday night paying $10,000 to-win and Saturday night $20,000 to-win!
